How this site handles information

Singularity Techs keeps this site direct. There is no third-party analytics and no advertising profile.

Page visits

When you open a public page, the server stores the page path, the referring address if the browser sends one, the date and time in UTC, the browser type, and a hash of the IP address. The raw IP address is not stored.

Contact form

If you send a message, we store your name, email, phone, company, the service you chose, and the message, so we can reply. These records are visible only after staff sign in.

Notes list

If you sign up for notes, we store the email address and a hash of the IP address. The list is used to send occasional notes about running business technology, about one message a month.

Session cookie

The site sets one session cookie so forms can reject submissions that did not come from the page, and so staff can stay signed in. It is not used for advertising and it is not shared with other companies.

Asking for a deletion

To ask us to delete a message or an email from the notes list, use the contact form and include the address you used.
